The artillery is fair, as it is the only really firepower the allies have other than the cruisers, hinds and rocket troops. I can usually take it out with a little bit of micro :) To shoot at anything, you use CTRL+right click to force fire. ALT+right click is move. Like in the originals. As for con...

You are using bots which will very quickly grind the game down. The pathfinder is going through the roof because it isn't very well optimized.

I suggest playing against real players if your computer can't handle the pathfinding, or only against one computer player.

What I was looking into was made for UDP. Whoops. Part of the research still applies anyway. You can fool some NAT systems into making a connection to a blocked port on a desired remote client, then sending that info about the blocked port to the server. The server sends this info to the remote clie...

P2P and desync recovery

I was reading on lockstep today and my eye was caught by some of the properties of the model. It is perfect for a peer to peer system because it requires synchronization between the clients, some further research shows me that servers and lobbies can be reduced to middlemen to help punch a hole thro...

They are pretty mean machines if you keep them away from your stuff, which is usually easy enough to do. I had one game where I stalled for minutes vs quem because I was traiding 2500 credits worth of demotruck for tens of thousand of credits worth of tanks, infantry and aircraft. This was in 1v1. I...

TD, by far. I never really liked the red alert series until YR. TD's not-quite-so futuristic sci-fi approach felt better to me than RA's history-fi approach. In terms of gameplay, I know the balance very well (thanks to balance testing with psydev). It feels much more rounded, allowing for different...

Nope, but it isn't worth suing over.
